I know I'll take a few hits for this but here goes anyway:

I think you should get rated if you deserve to get rated. You need to earn your rating. It means nothing to just hand out ratings for free.

This is what i say about rating, don't do it to everyone that replies to something, if a person says something very profound to you, either in a positive or negative way, that is when you should rate.
