I have been told that EPP foam emits a toxic gas that will kill you if you cut it with a hot wire. I looked up the MSDS (material Safety Data Sheet) for EPP and it only says incomplete burning emits carbon Monoxide. Yes, this sufocate you if your not aware that you need some oxegen. Yes that would kill you. Is there something else I'm missing? Are any of you cutting your own epp wings? If your in a well ventilated area and where a vapor mask you should be ok, Right?

It takes maybe 30 seconds to a minute to run a hotwire through an EPP Foam Blank. I've cut plenty of my own EPP foam cores with a hotwire bow. The gas that's released is too nominal to worry about. The gas from my brother in law would cause more damage. :D I'd really not worry too much unless, your cutting 300 a day in a non ventilated area. If you're really worried keep a room fan going nearby.
