What the hells is with theis odd forum setup?

If I have a question should I just make a whole new thread and call it a forum?

although i would suggest an rs4 3 18ss instead, to get the rs4 3 evo running you would need a rechargable for the rotostart, a charger for the battery, fuel, a glow plug igniter, battieries for the receiver and radio. and i think that might be it. but again, i would suggest you get the 18ss instead.

btw, redmist, that comment was not neccessary.

I figured it was not uneccessary... Someone has got to make sense of this for me!! hehe I would assume that you are frustrated by the way this is setup as well.

I was just trying to find some info on my car but after seeing 105 PAGES of unorganized posts I decided to find another community. I will check back here often to see if the mods/owners have found a way to lay out and control their website.

actually...i made a typo :o ...check my post again. but uh, i find this forum set up fine, besides, this thread was made in about march, and this is october, it had been dead until you brought it up. now im gonna be nice about this, but dont make a habit out of bringing up threads and posting something useless (no offence, but your post was useless). find the other rs4 3 thread, and post there because that is the one we use. maybe after youve been here a while, you will get used to the layout. :)

Bah!! Another thread just like this?

Hmmm So I will post over on that one I guess.

Well thanks for your help anyhow. I was just showing some concern for the over all setup of the community. I will go see if I can find a "Thread" or sub forum for community problems.

I just purchased a RS4 3 18SS and can't install the 10x15x4 bearing onto the differential case (part #A431). The OD of the part that the bearing goes to is too big.

I called HPI just now to report the problem. A CS rep I talked to said that he will send me replacement parts. It was still good at this point. When I asked him to check the A431 part and see if the bering will fit into the diff case before they ship out. The rep told me there is no way that he can ask their people to do that. I then told the rep that the #431 part is a plastic injection piece, if you already put a defective plastic injection part in the kit, then most likely the replacement part that you are going to send me is same as the one I have. "What happens if the replacement part you send me doesn't fit either? Do I call back again to request the same defective part?"..."I am sorry, that's the best we can do."

I will bring the defective differential case and the bearing with me to their booth at the iHobbyExpo and see how they handle the problem.

Hey im not sure if this is the right spot for this but i have Hpi rs4 3 SS for sale with black trans am body. It comes with Futba remote, not even broken in 18 O.S. cv-rx with rotary carb motor, outlaw exhaust and all factory parts. It should do 60+ mph, in good condition with minor scratches. I rarely used this and want to spend more time on the Hpi savage is the reason for selling. $200 + shipping is what I am looking to get for it. Email me at Mikeso@comcast.net for pic and more info.

I'm going to buy some lunsford titanium turn buckles and would like to know what sizes to get. I'll need six total for the suspension area and would like to another two for connecting my C hub to my graphite upper deck. Please tell me what sizes to get.
Also, which ball cups should I use?
Thanks.

Also for the os 18 cvrx, do i need hpi engine mounts for my evo or can i just bolt it right onto the chassis?

Does anyone know what size turnbuckle this is? And does this help with rigidity of the suspension or is it for style? Also will HPI ball studs fit right on these? Thanks

well as for the turnbuckles, does 1" mean 1" from tip to tip or 1" from before thread to thread.

who makes this carbon fiber upper deck? i can't seem to find it online anywhere, tried google, towerhobbies, hobbypeople... any help?

also what shocks do you guys recommend for everyday parking lot running? not really smooth? right now i'm using stock + 45wt oil which is way to soft...

oswald, i think you should try maybe 60-80wt, and some new springs. HPI makes the CF upper deck. it also goes by woven graphite, or graphite since i dont think its real CF, just looks like it. heres a link: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEKJ8&P=7
M3- 1" tip to tip.

thanks, i'll try that. another issue - probably nothing new but i really didn't have the patience to go over the old 100+ pages...

front suspension, the left driveshaft would fall out of the front axle... i've put some spacers under the shaft on the diff side and it works for now... are MIP CVD's going to solve this problem?
