Half review cause my transmitter batteries went dead! Thats what you get for leaving them sit for 8 months with hardly any use. Anyhow!!
Fantom Tuned Pipe # FAN20001
Overall quality in construction is great. Only downside here is it only comes with one manifold spring. For what you pay for this pipe, it should come with two. The one piece design is really great as well. I can't see any good points in connecting a pipe to a manifold with tubing and zip ties, which is why I like the one piece pipes better. I feel safer with the spring coupler connction.
My engine temperatures have dropped signficantly over my stock cannister muffler i've been using. My idle now is somewhere around 130 degrees while the wide open runs are topping out around 185 degrees. I'm going to have to lean that top end out a bit more next time, and see what power the ol' Novarossi can make with this pipe. Like I said, My batteries went dead, so i'll post an update next week. My speeds weren't as fast as before, but with a little tuning of the high and low, i should be back to normal.
Overall , I can't believe how significant a temperature drop a tuned pipe can get you. Also, i'm gettting a very stable idle and excellent backpressure too.
I had some issues of stalling with my old canister pipe, and those seem to be gone. I feel this has to do with the pressure nipple as opposed to a hole :)
Starting has also gotten much easier, again probably cause of consistant backpressure .
Next week I'll post an update with the leaner settings.
BTW, I bought the replacement XXXNT fuel tank with the nipple on the lid, and I get zero bubbles in my fuel tank now. If you don't have one, its a great investment.
