I ran my brushless and it ran fine then i let it cool and went to run it again and it came on for a second and then the lights on it went off and in now the battery and the motor make a wierd humming noise. i have tried diconnecting the motor, the reciever and the capacitor and it didnt change anything. I have already took apart both motor and speed control and niether look damaged. It is already out of warrenty so i cant send it in so any help would be appreciated.

Is the sensor wire plugged in ALL the way? Check the rotor itself, it could have come un-fastened from the shaft. Sounds like something fried though. What gearing and vehicle are you running it in with what batteries?

Not really sure, Humming coming from electronics isn't ever a good sign though. Check for any outside shorts from the Input harness or power wires. Also, if the steering works try the ESC in the steering channel just to be sure its not the RX.

There is also Non-Warranty Service available. ESC is $49 by itself.

I think that the speed control is fried because i unsoldered the motor and unplugged the sensor wires and unplugged it from the reciever and the battery still made noise. The speed control and the battery also heat up fast.

thanks for the help

Have you tried another battery pack? I had a pack that would make a humming noise, but not the esc so mabey this has somehting to do with it. Though Im guessing if you have a novak system you poabably sprung the extra cash for a few extra batts.... just thought I should ask.

Sounds like the speed control is shorted internally. not a good sign.
