does it seem that the kit is overpriced for what it delivers?

I own and race the savages 25ss and personally i do not think that they are overpriced for what you get a great all round truck, super durability, and great handling of the truck.

The new savage 46 comes with most of the upgrades already done for you etc.... 4 spider diff mod throttle/brake linkage mod so if you stop and think about this in long term no it is not over priced at all.

Before i had the savages i use to race tmaxx and by god the money i spent out on that thing £50 - £70 after every meeting and i have not spent no where near that much on my savages and i have been racing these for nearly 12 months now at half the cost. This is due to the durability and handling of the truck from my point of view anyway.

There are other trucks out there but you will find that they will cost you more money in the end to replace the bits and pieces that break.

Just my pennies worth

Hope this helps you a little

Heck no it's not overpriced for what it delivers! I spent over that amount hopping up my SS kit (S-25 version). Plus, keep in mind that it's new on the market and demand is high, thus the price will be high for a while. I think the price will come down after a while.

I think 409 dollars aint bad considering the motor retails 300 and some from HPI.I think Tower sells the motors for around 200.I have never owned a Savage until now or any other Kit,Its worth it to me.Cant wait to drive it.Took me 16 hours to assemble and i have only had time to idle one tank through. Some advice though,if you ever get one check the muffler inside for debris. After my first tank it would not stay running, come to find out that the fuel pressure thing on the muffler got clogged with something.

i think the savage is the best truck out right now, not offending anyone, but im not a fan of traxxas, i have a couple savages and i have a 21rtr converted into a 25 ss, and it just rules. Pulls wheelies out of the hole everytime, no matter what, quick, rugged, i have jumped it like crazy and beat it and havent broken a single part yet!
