By extend, are you referring to the tires ballooning? That's normal and it does make things a bit more squirrely. Different tires isn't so much the issue. You can avoid some of the ballooning by putting strapping tape on the inside of the tires and putting in some stiffer tire foams. I'm pretty fond of the Trinity 3-piece foams.
The main question is why are you trying to use the truck as a drag racer on the street? Though it's a monster truck and meant to be kicking up rooster tails on the dirt, even I drive mine on the street sometimes, but I have a set of street tires for that purpose. They have Pro-Line firm foams in them and I set my truck lower for street racing.

Get the 40 series Mambo wheels and Moab tires. You should be happy with those with all that power and xtended wheelbase.

You mean ballooning all tyres do this when put to the access of power i own and race savages 25ss and believe me it does not matter what wheels and tyres i use on this beast the tyres will always balloon up under excess power.
The option you have got left is go for 40 series wheels and may try the hobao oval pins on them this is what i use and they do intend not to balloon as much as the others i have tried in the past.
Just a thought

There's a tip in one of the recent (or current?) RCCA about using duct tape on the inside of the tires to keep them from ballooning. I've heard about it before, as well as using nylon-reinforced strapping tape. Personally I don't mind a little ballooning - there's less footprint at higher speeds to cause drag. Plus, I don't run my truck at WOT for enough time for them to balloon out of control. I also have Trinity 3-piece foams in my tires and they're stiff enough to keep the ballooning down.
