Fresh from Hobbico...

Hopping up the IFMAR champion!

We've taken the reigning IFMAR champion Mugen Prospec and upgraded it with O.S.'s elite engine for 1/8 scale competition: the .21 VZ-B V-Spec!
* The Prospec buggy comes loaded with 20 high-performance features, including carbon-fiber parts, Pro-Line racing tires, machined aluminum shock towers, ride height adjustment gauge and much more.
* Those extras are in addition to standard equipment such as: 3 adjustable gear diffs, 2 disk brakes, 4-wheel A-arm suspension, a laydown steering servo, 3-piece aluminum clutch, etc.
* Designed for serious off-roaders, the V-Spec racing engine boasts a 2-piece Turbo head with V-shaped design, reshaped crankcase core, integral pilot shaft, carb restrictors, and comes with a super-hot turbo P3 plug.

* Length: 19 in (480mm) * Width: 12 in (308mm) * Height: 7 in (182mm) * Weight: 7.5 lb (3400g) * Requires: 2-channel radio w/2 high-torque servos, manifold, tuned pipe, starting equipment

WooHoo! This is a tad cheaper than buying the Prospec and the V-SPEC separately, even at their best prices.

Is this pre-built (minus the radio and servos) or is it a kit?

What web site is this from? (What is Hobbico?)

Thanks,
Ras

That's what I thought, but what do they have to do with this? They're not the importers for Mugen, I don't think, nor for O.S. engines.

Curious...

Yes they are the exclusive distributor for OS Engines.

Hobbico is just another name/arm of Great Planes, which is the distributor for OS engine. Strange that they would be competing with their own car, the Mp777.

Yeah, I think Kyosho is leaving Great Planes, if they haven't already.

Great Planes (Tower) has officially announced that they have parted ways with Kyosho, they will continue to sell what parts they have left in stock. Looks like GP is fishing with a new line of buggy and is using their OS connection to sweeten up the deal!

Oh man, things are changing. I've always equated Kyosho with OS, it seems really weird to me now.

That's not correct. Kyosho is going to be doing their own US distribution and they're no longer "with" anyone, so to speak. Now back to our original topic... ;)
