Thanks for looking, I have to order in one hour so if i get replies before then i can get the bearings i need, if not i'll just wait and buy a proline steering kit or something on ebay later.
What I can choose from when I order form tower hobbies (and this order will be just from them), they have HPI, Duratrax, Tamaya, and Traxxas bearings that will fit the bellcranks in the 2.5 t-maxx.
Problem is the bushings that are in the cranks stock are 5x8x2.5mm, and the cheapest bearings that say anything about being sealed are the Duratrax, plus they are cheapest at $3 for 2 bearings. The only thing is they are only 2.3mm thick instead of 2.5, and i'm wondering if they would still work.
otherwise it's fairly expensive to buy bearings from the other makers, as much as 20 bux for a set of 4 from tamaya, and I'd need 6 anyway, totaling to 21 dollars from traxxas, and that's more than an alluminum steering kit from other makers! plus they say nothing about being sealed, just steel construction... whoopie. :(
My main question is, will the Duratrax bearings with a thickness of 2.3mm instead of 2.5mm work for the steering and throttle bellcranks, or should I wait and buy something like the discontinued proline steering kit from ebay?
thanks :D
