I'd just skimmed through the archives, and I'm sure the answer to my question was there, I just couldn't see it. Anyway, this guy came over yesterday with a handful of Model Master acrylic paint and a helmet he wants me to use on. Well, I've never even heard of Model Master before and believe it or not, I've never used acrylic either. On the bottle it says, I can use soap and water for cleaning up, but what I need to know is, can I cut the paint with water, or do I have to use thinner  I really need some advice on this one, I've promised the helmet would be done on Monday :o so even if you just have an idea me help out, pretty please.

Yeah, don't use water to thin it. Although I've airbrushed a little bit of that paint and I though it did pretty good without any thinning, but its up to you obviously. Testors (same company as model master and pactra) does indeed make an acylic thinner.

Thanks guys, I appreciate you coming to my rescue but, early Saturday morning I got lucky, and was able to get into the shop and get my urethanes. I still haven't used acrylic paint and my gut told me not to use the crap he gave me. Anyway, I'll get everything finished up and clearcoated today, but believe me, that's the last time a friend will volunteer me without asking the first  .
Thanks again.
