you can spray it through your brush but make sure you have a large tip and needle and clean your brush immidietly afterwards warm water should break down the masking fairly quickly but clean it even after you think its clean you don't want it to dry in your brush.

you'll also want to lay down about 6-8 coats since your spraying it on so thin.

last time I did it I had to thin it with water 1:1 after straining out the lumps using a peice of window screen.

that sounds like more of a pain then brushing it on by hand.

I apply 4 medium coats with a 1" brush.

@Phil Manro

you apply 4 coats ???? Isnīt this to much.
For sure you have to apply enough mask to have it easy peel of, but 4 coats i would say its too much.
i am using the Bob Divelys and i use to do one "thick" coat, let it dry and then apply another really thin coat.
I apply it with a brush.
With the brush you can even apply more mask on the parts you will do details.
So you can save material.

I don't think 4 coats is too much. I usually put on about 4 medium to light coats. I prefer it a bit thicker so it peals up easier.

I forget who's tip it was, so I appologize for not really being able to give them credit...but it was def one of the guys on here. Clean out a glue bottle (like the elmers ones, with the orange nozzle) and put the liquid mask in there. Fill it with just enough water to make it a Milkish consistancy...maybe a very little bit thicker, and spray it into the body from there. Just move it all around the body utnill everything is covered. You'll probably have to move the body around for a little while untill everything sticks..but you don't miss ANYTHING

Hi Alex-

I have played with different techniques/quantities of BD liquid mask and have found that 4 coats works well for me. I put it on like I would paint a piece of wood; not too heavy; even strokes. This seems to work well. When trying 1-2 really heavy coats (probably the same amount of LM as 4 medium coats) I find that I end up with gobs that never dry and a rougher surface that ends up complicating the cutting of the design. It does take longer, but I find the 4 coats works well for me..but that's just 4 me! ;)

If you are brushing it on, make sure to brush the coats on in different directions.

I have tried spraying it, but it's quicker and easier to just brush it on.

Way easier just to brush it on. I use a foam brush and have the best results with 4 thin to medium coats. The last body I painted I did not put enough coats on and it was a pain to peel it all off! Not sure how that happened! :(
