I currently have a Tmaxx which I purchased 1/05. I have roughly 9-10 tanks through and have had nothing but tuning issues with it. I'd like to mention that I am a newbie to this hobby and have gotten all kinds of advice as to how to solve my problem but I'm either not doing something right or my Tmaxx just doesn't want to work properly. My problem is that it keeps cutting off on me as its idling down from open throttle. I got some more advice today and went out to try an attempt again but no luck. I am honestly fed up with this truck. After purchasing this truck, people told me that this truck has been known to have so much tune-up issues and others have told me they have had no problems with it. I guess I'm the half that have the issues. I thought maybe I'd be able to get it working properly but no luck. After reading alot of these threads comparing the tmaxx to other MT's, I'm honestly leading towards getting rid of the Tmaxx and purchasing something else. I need some opinions on what I should do. Should I keep the Tmaxx and just be patient with it or should I just rid of it and get somethign else???

Have you talked to anyone who can physically be there and help? or maybe even traxxas? the trx engine seems to get better after about 1/2 gal of fuel but there may be something wrong.

Yes, but nitro engines only gets better after 1/2 to 1 gallon of fuel if it's good in the first place. That's just the normal breaking in of all the engines' internal parts.

But, as said someone who knows what is up with nitro and can be there with you while yer runnin is a BIG HELP. I had to learn mostly on my own...reading magazines, internet bb, and talking to people...problem is most everybody tells ya something different. Aaargh!!!

Making sure that the engine is all sealed up really is helpful too.
