I'm building my first Boat and I want to have Running Lights,Spotlight,and Cabin lights remote controlled.any ideas on how to wire them up. do i need some kind of servo controlled switch. Thanks

Yep, you'll have to use a radio channel to activate a servo or one of the aftermarket 'switching' devices.
If you decide to use a servo activated switch, how you go about hooking it all up will depend on the 'kind' of switch you have/use. (Slide switch, toggle switch, micro switch, etc, etc.) It really isn't that difficult.

Doc is there any one you recomend are there any wiring diagrams any wherethat i could get ideas from. Bruce

Sorry it's taken so long to answer. There are just a lot of ways to go about lighting. One of the places that have some pretty good tips is "TowBoat Joe's". Has several interesting ways of doing it. I'm sure there are other sites that are as good or better, I just happen to know of this one...

I build my own runing lights with photo-resistors realy easy and cheap (about $16 for all parts for 6 lights and 3 photo-resistors ). Assembly is easy but you have to know to solder with a fine tip . Let me know if you are interesting .
