ALSOME My truck hit the speed trap at 41mph in stock form.I put a New Era big tube header on and a MGT pipe and I got 44mph not bad for a engine That has 2.5 gallons of fuel throught it then again it is an O.S. .18 :D :D :D

Yes, but how much low end torque did ya sacrifice to get that extra 3mph? Trucks are bigger and heavier and as such really need the torque to go with the horsepower.

sorry for hijack but i need some help, i have just installed the nem header and the mgt pipe as well as the mgt fuel tank, now it runs but im getting air in the line to the carb and it seems that the tank is getting air, and more air when i rev so leads me to believe that the pipe is feeding the tank too much air which causes the truck to stall when i hit the throttle, has anyone had this problem and how to fix it, also i ran the line with the primer to the carb and the straight to the pipe, i also tried two straights lines and still same result but i can clearly see the bubbles when im revving... but if i remove the line form the pipe then no bubbles but also not great feed of fuel..

please help

thanks

Ok you said I ran the line with the primer to the carb and the straight to the pipe.Did you keep to the stock line lenght? When you get air is it near empty or after when you fill it up?Some air is ok.
When you put the header and pipe on you will have to make it richer at the carb.
Take a look At my TNX :D

its alot of air and its through the whole tank, i was already runnning rich lots of smoke and its spitting lots of gas from the pipe at idle, i did not measure to see if the lines are same size they are most likely to be shorter than stock ones, but it seems that the pipe line is feeding too much air into the tank... also does it make a difference that i installed the tank with the fill cap closest to the throttle servo...

There's fuel lines inside the fuel tank, sounds like maybe there is something screwed up with those connections... empty the tank and take the fuel line out and make sure there aren't any holes, maybe replace it with a new one, make sure everything is snug... have you tried taking the primer bulb out of the line that goes to the carb? I would try that as well, the length of the fuel line wouldn't matter.

Make sure that the fuel line coming out of the tank is going to the carb. The fuel door gose to the pipe.

ok i have the lines going to the right places, the line going to the pipe is really short it goes straight across the motor to the pipe now, now when i remove the line from the pipe to the lid of the tank there is not any air going in to the tank but when i put it back on and rev i can see the air bubbeling in the tank,,, there is only one line in the tank it goes from the bottom pickup to the feed for the carb and its on proper with no leak, im going nuts here not sure what to try, is there supposed to be a second line in the tank on the lid return going down into the tank

thanks guys

Maybe It was not all the way broken in ?
They say T-Maxx and Revo gose 40mph + but I only seen 33 to 35 mph out of them and I can run around them all day :D
