I am actually posting this question for a friend who's been driving me crazy about finding a proven fast bl combo for his tc4. for now he looking run a 7-8 cell set up. At first it was between a feigao 6s and an 8s but we could never find out which one was faster. Then I recommended the 5300 as a motor but since there isnt any wind rating on the lehner. he was a little iffy even though I told him it was an awesome motor.
Then the question was which controller??? I pointed out the mgm 80 but no where does it say it has reverse (he says he wants to have reverse). Then I suggested the warrior 7018 but I saw some mixed reviews about the software on it. I dont know to much about the 9918 either. I'm not sure if having the higher amperage will be that much better . The only thing that is a must is that the esc has to have bec. 200 is probaly the most he'll want to spend on a esc. What do you guys recommend for motor/esc?

I am selling a BL combo (U-Force 75 & Hacker 6 turn) in the forsale forum, if anyone is interested.

MGM 12012 ESC and feigao 6s. Probably would be almost 270ish total, and the 6s is faster than the 8s, but the 8s will have more torque and can handle more cells. But if he's only running 7 or 8 cells, the 6s would probably be good, but you'd need something like the 12012 MGM esc to handle the higher amperage the 6s would pull.

Danny-any reason for wanting to get rid of that combo? is the c406t for sale by itself. One more question if anyone knows. Can the c40 6t run 10 cells all the time?
electric thunder- Do you know if that mgm has reverse?

It does. It has brake as well. Do a search for some threads on it in here. Mr. Constructor did a review of the 120 amp version. Just search for it and it should pop up. :)

Someone told me before that the limit is around 70,000 RPM, but I would only try them for drag application not basking around. I would prefer to sell both. I will Pm you anyway.

The "safe" limit is about 60k RPM to 65k RPM, 70k RPM may be pushin it unless the rotor is wrapped in kevlar or some reinforced stuff. Some lehner motors can rev up to 80k RPM or higher (19xx series).

What about 3 second full throttle runs for drag racing on 40 metre straight? Can they handle upto 12 cells then?

Why not just get the correct motor and throw the correct voltage and be done? Just because its not recomended doesnt mean its going to be faster. If I can push a 14lb E-maxx in the mid 50's with under 2000kv, something tells me you guys are barking up the wrong tree.
Oh, and I could run it all day long and never have thermals.......now you tell me which set up is better.

Could be a possibility. I'm no expert, I was just starting the limits that the manufacturer puts out. I suppose it'd depend on the load. The 4200 I can see on 12 cells easily for that amount of time, the 5300, no way. POP! :D I'm just guessin here.
