 ...
Ok I am nearly brand new at this hobby. My son got me hooked on it after I bought him a entry level buggy for x-mas. Since then I have dumped a ton of money into a hobby that is more addicting then smoking :p
I just got our new B-4 kits last week and bumed an air brush from a buddy of mine. After countless hours of reading on how to paint these things this is the final result.
Let me know what you all think.

Thank's...
I like the combo and there are no other green car's at the track so I stand out unless I am upside down...

For having just read a bit and then picked up an airbrush and started spraying something like that is phenomenal!! Awesome paint job!

Thanks again for the input...
I had never used an air brush before this project. I started playing with it the day before I painted the car. I started out on a scetch pad and played with it untill I could make straight lines and fades. Then I worked on a cheep piece of lexan that I picked up and the hardweare store to try and figure out how to paint in reverse. This step realy helped because I had no idea how thin you needed to spray the fade colors. I am buying some more bodies so I can do more designes and will pot them as I finish.

Troy, if that doesn't inspire folks to pick up an airbrush and paint, nothing will! :D :D Again, awesome job.

How come you haven't entered it into this months contest? I think you should. Even if you don't win, it's a heck of a confidence boost to see how well you stack up against some experienced painters.

I will need to take some better pictures of it before I can enter it into your april contest. I also have to check on the paint colors all I can remember is they are Fastcolor. As far as what colors they are called I cant remember I just liked the way they looked. I will gather all my info and post on the contest thread.

Very nice work, Troy! Bonus props to you for using so many colours for your first try, much less doing shading on the first one.

Nice B4! Way to go on the first time paint job! My hardest thing sometimes is selecting the right color match up and you hit it out of the park with that one!

Thank you again everybody for all the kind words and Piggy I submitted into this months contest for a good spanking....
I took some pictures of it outside and also included some shots of my 13 year old son's B-4 that he painted and layed out all by him self.

Both of them are amazing! Did your son use chrome paint or is that just a chrome decal?
I don't think any of my bodies that I will ever paint come near the quality of your first body :o
I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Really am impressed with a 13 yr old 1st timer, CONGRATS, nice job. The reaper on the hood, was that painted on ? Any chance you could do a close up pic on that ?
Again, really good paint job.

Thank's guy's and I will pass along all the good comments to my son.
2ndGeneration... the reper is a XXX decal that we stuck to the inside of the body then shadowed with white to give a ghost efect. I will take a close up of it for you but he has raced the body twice now and it's not as nice as when it was first done, we call him nose dive for a reason... :p
The chrome on the sides are done in a dimond plate decal another one of his ideas... he is a sticker freek and I have to calm him down on them or his car would look like a NASCAR after he was done.
