Hey, well I decided not to go down the route of a buggy conversion just yet and have decided to work with my current car.

I think i am going to go for something simple like a lehner 5300 with a cheap esc that can handle lipos as i am severely limited by space in this chassis.

I have 2 questions though
1.) Is running a dual belt drive car going to cause problems as there is increased drag in the system when compared to a shaft driven system
2.) What would you guys reccomend as a esac and motor with what sort of gearing ratio. The lowest i can go is around 1:9.
Thanks
Neil

I hope you have better luck than me. I put a 5300 in my neighbors TA04, and it completely shredded the belts =\
before that happened, it flew. I was using a Warrior 7018, with rx pack.. don't remember gearing.

i was worried about that too, but i think i found some nice aramid reinforced belts to stand up to the excess force. if not ill just buy loads of belts!!!
