OK so I got the facts from Bob in Apex. His offroad track cannot open because of entertainment taxes. So in the mean time, he told me about something else he is going to do.

Thursdays at 6pm (ish) you can just go to his store in apex with whatever reasonably powered vehicle you have and we will have bashing get-togethers in the parking lot. If it is feesable some racing, like TCs. Not sure what if any plan there is but its another night that shouldn't conflict with other tracks. Just depends on the weather. SO if you want to meet up with people and talk about stuff and get advice, drive around, whatever, you know now where to go.

I do NOT work for the store and I cannot answer every question. My emaxx will be there tomorrow, that is the only car i'd drive that i own. Stadiums, monsters, buggys are fine. your toruing car may get a little more dirty than you may want to get it.

that's crap...

...Wake county for ya

(a parking lot is not the same as an offroad track)

yeah its the best he can do for now. Its actually a decent turnout and you can drive whatever you want. We do block off the parking lot too. Now I wouldn't bring out a suped up racing touring car, but anything else would be fine. No limit on noise either. No worry about cops either.

Not sure if/when the dirt track will open. I'll keep you all posted.

I hope to try and make it out there this Thursday assuming I don't work a 10-12 hour day. I just have my fairly stock rs4 3ss to run, but would like to meet some other rc'ers in the area and do some bashing.

Hey Cheer.. I stopped by for a few minutes, but had my family and none of my stuff. I saw a TMaxx, Emaxx, and 2-3 nitro TCs. If there is continued good turnout we should organize runs. I only have electric TC, were there many of them out???

Bring out the on-roads! It would be really nice to organize some racing out there and run whatever with whoever shows up. I can't make it out this thursday or next, but plan to come out the next thursday for sure. Good time to actually run and bash with others.

ok i put a car together yesterday and it works fine. steering servo from the emaxx, original radio from the emaxx in it as well. cheapy 15 turn motor too. took it to a park yesterday and it tracks perfectly straight and does not glitch at all. So I might just bring it next time and no truck at all! But again I will NOT be there on May 5th

I haven't been out to officially race at Durham but have been out there to practice and run around a real track. Its easier to sometimes get together in the evenings and not have to drive far to Durham (for me) and just do some fun bashing in a parking lot with some guys.

Dosen't matter if it's in a parking lot or on A REAL TRACK. Long as you are having fun. Do try to race with us sometime though. You will probably enjoy it. We had a good work day today and got a lot of junk cleaned up. Hope you will join us in the future sometime. Have you found anyone running in a parking lot yet? I haven't heard of anyone doing it myself. I am not opposed to doing it also. Running like that has been fun in the past.

I haven't found a single person yet running in a parking lot!!! I always enjoy getting together with some people and doing some casual running in a parking lot. If anybody ever wants to meet up in a lot around raleigh/cary please let me know.

Might have something else going on thur. though so I will have to wait and see. I'd love to start getting more people together for parking lot racing.

I got an Nitro TC3 that I run just about every day out here on the lot. We have all the parking lot to ourselves on Thursday nights now. List of cars that show up often

Tamiya TT-01 electric tourer
Tamiya TA-04 electric tourer (mine)
Electric 4 tecs (store owns them, you may use them if you like)
Electric Rustlers (store owns and I let anybody drive them even 7year old nOObs)
3 Savages
4 TMaxxes
1 rc10gt
my nitro tc3
1 xxx-nt
1 sportwerks mayhem

those are always here and some random other stuff that one guy brings- this guy has around 20 vehicles. So a variety of things are here and i have a nice jump if anybody wants to use it.

To make one thing clear- I am the manager of this store now, but not the owner. So drop in anytime if you want to talk to me.
