Nice move from HPI! How about Ferrari Testarossa and Daytona for "Miami Vice" fans? Also, Ferrari 308 for "Magnum P.I." fans? Lamborghini Countach was usually drug dealer cars... black color make it even worse. By the way, where are those wheels from?

StevePond

The wheels and tires are also from HPI. They will be available separately. The rears are 31mm wide and the front are 26mm.

I think HPI should make Ferrari F40... if they can get the licence because the tires size will be perfect for a F40.

now they should make a 1/10th scale "cuda" body

Mr Schumacher, you remember Miami Vice and Magnum PI, but you don't remember Cannonball Run? Wasn't there a Countach in that movie?

Those wheels remind me of old muscle car Cragar mags. They'd look good on a 'Cuda body =)

wouldn't exactly call it new. i had that body 3 yrs ago!

That would be a cool trick, seeing as how they just started making it. ;) Maybe you're thinking of a different Lamborghini body.

Very nice! Those classic Hot Rod wheels add a real nice touch, hopefully, an even older 70s body will come out to match the wheels?

Can't say I really like those wheels. They look sorta like ford's mustang wheels, which definitely don't belong on a countach. Thats just my opinion. The body looks fantastic though :D

Does anyone know how badly I want to go buy a 200mm car just to put the body on?

Good job HPI! Make 190mm or 280/300 and I'd be sure to buy atleast two of each.

Oh wow man! Way to go HPI, the body/tires/wheels look fantastic. Makes up for the slanted MT monstrosity of a body they released earlier.

That'd be awesome. I think that'd be cooler than a countach any day.:D

Grand national is a nasty car, A countach would smoke a national in a heartbeat! And the styling's are totally differant, national is a boat, coutach is a work of art!

If I had a onroad I'd get this body for sure.

glad that HPI is continually raising the bar in realism of their bodies. they're not gonna get much competition from kyosho or tamiya anytime soon :-). too bad they dont have the license to do ferrari bodies.

not a GNX

Word. You put a few grand into the GNX for a bigger turbo *or two* and low compression pistons and crank the boost up..Countach will get waxed.

There was a video of a TT Gran Nat that smokes its tires on the dyno, had like 1100hp or so.

Thats modified though, who knows what would happen if you put two huge turbos on a Countach. :p

but you don't remember Cannonball Run? Wasn't there a Countach in that movie?Definitely. And for those here who've never seen that flick, get a copy... and crank it way up in that opening sequence for some sweet 12 cylinder music.

Yikes... I wonder why they wanted to ugly it up with the black nose and wheel well arches... the lines of the Countach are way too beautiful to mess with like that... well, you don't have to use 'em... I guess you can just put 'em on your dog or something.

The vintage wheels and tires defiently do a lot for that body. Not saying it doesn't look good, but the regular wheels and tires in those pics do it no justice.

Excellent work HPI! A truly stunning shell... Tamiya would be proud! Good to see the classics I loved as a kid making a comeback.

There are LOTS of bubble looking aerodynamic bodies available already so it's nice to see the classics comeback that look more realistic.

Hopefully they will put out the old Stingray Vette, '69 Camaro, '59 Caddy, Hemi Cuda, etc. Come on HPI mold them up for us PLEASE!!

As for some new bodies I would love to see the new 300 and Magnum!!

I think we could pass on the Aztek and Scion xB, LOL.

We could pass on those uglya$$ Dodges, too. LOL.

And in case you think I'm pokin' you with a stick, I'm not... I've thought they were ugly since the day I first saw one, and I recently found out I'm not alone... check this out:

No need to check out "proof" on opinions. You have the right to your opinion.

NotWalkinBlind
04-28-2005, 11:04 AM
I didn't say anything about "proof"... just saying them Dodges are ugly... and I doubt if they'd sell well as R/C bodies... so don't hold your breath.

Not ugly:

Also not ugly, but has been done for R/C:
