Hey, currently I own a Novak Super Sport Brushless System, and I pretty happy with that. My ownly complaint is that the controller gets a little hot and that the motor weighs a TON. I have been looking at the lehner 4200 and 7018 controller on sale at finedesignrc for a very nice looking price. I run 6 cells and bash, just looking for a light, and cool system to run. Any comments would be good, ohh and he U-Force is out of the price range, and I think it'd be overkill for what I'm asking. Thanks

Im not sure where your from but as sensorless controllers go the mtroniks genesis sport is pretty much the next best thing to a u-force at the moment.
Over here they have a combo with a 5800kv motor with c40 like fins but in red. That goes for about £99 for the combo.

thats the only place you can get it at the moment.#
I hoped to be able to run the mtroniks today but as usual in the uk it was raining. Hopefully i can shoot some bashing video of it tomorow with my C40 8S.

Well, I've been around the brushless stuff a long time, and im guessing im not gunna be able to cheap it out. I'll probably go with a Lehner 4200 and the U-Force, although I have yet to find a place that carries both at a cheap price. Fine design does so im seeing if I can get a deal there. Now to find someone who wants a Novak SS
HOLD THE PHONE!...found the new hacker master car controller....hehe, Im checking that out. Anyone run it?

I have the master-b comp its a good controller generates tons of power with my C408S. I dotn think its as smooth as a sculze would be but if that dont bother you then its a very god controller.
In fact with the controller box you can aparently adjust the accleration which would probably make it smoother to drive.
An important note you cant set the controller into it varios lipo cutoff modes without the programmer box.
Mtroniks has stated that they plan to make a pc link for there controllers for easier configuration of the controller.

When you say smooth, how smooth do you mean? Since everything has a little radio glitch and all, but like say the Novak? have you ran that, or compared to a regular brushed setup? I know when running brushless I get minimal cogging from like 1-5 mph and then it dissapears

Starluckrc, what kind of deal can you offer me for a U-Force and Lehner 4200, wire up with motor plugs and deans to the battery? Feel free to email me or pm me. Thanks. I figure the U-Force is where I have to go, just trying to shop around. Didn't know you carried the other stuff, so thats great.

Yeah, the owner seems to be kind of a jerk. And their prices are way high, but the sale was reasonable. Its just hard to find a dealer with variety these days.

www.starluckrc.com has the uf 75 for $280 instead of fine's $298. Im pretty sure Jamie can get whatever you need. Even if its not posted on the site just ask.

If I went with a U-Force, which motor would you recommend for a BJ4 (1/10 4WD offroad)?

What's your budget? For $175, you could get the 4-pole Plettenburd Extreme. It is a VERY good motor.

Probably around $100, but I don't want something that's going to cog or be unreliable.

No leher's are good IMO. Only if you are into racing then maybe the plettenburg motors.
Lehners wont cog or be unreliable (that is no cogging if you have a good esc).
