new to brushless, xxx-t,b2k gearing

hello,
im new to brushless motors, i just orderd a novak ss5800. I know theres alot of talk about the ss5800 on here but i couldnt find anything on this, I plan to run it in my xxx-t and b2k. I dont have to many gear choices in my pit box , so i im going to get some coming before the ss5800 gets here.What would be a good gear combo in a b2k and xxx-t?

according to novak you should use a 22-23 pinion with the bk2 and a 17-18 with the xxxt.

I run a 17 pinion in my xxx-t and its just gravy. Lol. Plenty of torque and top end.

what pitch does losi use ? I dont have a lhs around me so im stuck buying losi parts online.

P.S if you know of a good place online to buy losi replacement parts let me know

gear ratios are listed on novaks site. both of those recommendations were with stock spur.

www.horizonhobby.com is the official site for losi parts but pinions are easily found everwhere. Just make sure you buy some that arent made of aluminum stick with the steel. I ate an aluminum pinion in one weekend on my system (though it wasn't a Novak), and when the pinions go they usually eat up the spur gear also.
