If it's a standard 540 size motor mount, then yeah, it'll work. Though the HV-Maxx is meant mostly for torque, not speed.

A HV Maxx Should fit, I beleive the Motor can is a 540/550 size, and the mounting holes are standard fit.
Just don't break the chassis like I did. The SRS4 is discontinued, and you have never been able to get spare parts.

It'll fit. The HV maxx is a bit longer than a 550 sized motor. It'll make mucho torque, so you can take advantage of that by gearing higher.:D

When I had the C50 in it (don't ask how, it wasnt normal). I had it at 19 48, and that def. was no where neat high enough gearing. I found a 22 and 44 combo though. Thats exactly 1:2. Those are in 32P BTW, 48P didnt stand a chance.
I think the motor will fit fine, but you might have more trouble finding a spot for the controller. I had to mount my Warrior on top of my lipos because there was just nowhere else to put it. The batteries you decide to use will dictate where you put the controller. My batteries take up about 80% of the available chassis space so thats why the controller ended up on top.

am planning on using the Novak SS Brushless system with 7 or 8 cells, what are the proper gearings so that Thermal Shutdowns wont happen,
there was a article some time ago about gearing changes due to thermal shutdowns on the Brushless setups.....please list the gearing changes, thanks.....
if someone has the Novak HV-Maxx set up,
my question is, do i have to use 12 cells for it, or can i be able to use
8 cells......my concern is the available space on the chassis, there seems to be only 8 slots for 8 cells.....
if the HV-Maxx BL set up is not a go, i'll just do the Novak SS with 8 cells, I'm sure that'll be quick enough......
please list your input, i'm a newbie.....thanks

The novak will only handle up to 7 cells, and its not really all that fast. Mabye you should check out the MGM controllers and Feigao motors, and look at the Warrior controllers as well. These can handle alot more cells and should put out alot more power.

There is a guy that ran the SS5800 motor on 13 cells. He said it isn't any good after 12 though. He wasn't using the SS controller, but a different sensorless one. I believe he ran something like 8 cells through the SS system.

According to a few guys on the board they have not found any Sensorless ESC's that will run the Novak motor. Aveox might sell a sensored ESC that would run 12 cells, but then your RPM would just be getting way to high (SS5800).

You can run the HV-Maxx esc with the ss5800 motor down to 6 cells. I wouldn't exceed 10 cells with the ss5800.
