Very interesting looking design on the rockers! I like the aluminum/carbon fiber mix on them. Is the carbon fiber for show, or does it help strengthen the rocker unit?

those rockers look AWSOME,

i'd imagine th carbon keeps the rocker from crushing or bending at all, since the aluminum is jsut a frame around it,

the graphite panels can only add strength, but I suspect the aluminum parts are already so strong that the graphite never really comes into play. But hey, what do I know? Racers edge may have engineered the parts so there's only a thin web of aluminum under the graphite, and the graphite really is their for strength (presumably with less weight than the piece would have if solid aluminum). All I know is they look totally rad. (You can rip on me for saying "rad" if you want.)

Then again, the press release does specifically say "stiffened with carbon fiber," so there you go!

Peter, you said "rad"! hehehehe. :D There, now you've been ripped on!!

Looks to me like the carbon is just for looks more than anything else. However, they do look trick..

is it just me, or does it say k factory on the side of the rockers in the 2nd pic of the rockers?

Yeah "rad" is about as out-dated as spinners are.

It helps shave a BIT of wait, but mainly it looks badass.

Woven graphite/Carbon fiber does work when the whole part is made out of it, I've got CF shock towers on my GT and they have stood up to a lot of bashing and crashes.

Parts look cool, but of course I am a sucker for blue anodizing.

The carbon fiber panels will help in the rigidity department if enough load is applied to the rocker arms. Its the same principle as carbon fiber laminated honeycomb panels used on space frames in 1:1 race cars and other similar applications; as the metal (whatever it may be) deflects, the composite in the middle of the shape redistributes the load and resists distortion. Not saying the factor of safety of the aluminum alone is that low for the experienced loads, but the carbon fiber can't hurt. In theory though, since the panels aren't bonded to the metal in any places other than the screws, theres a good chance under enough load, the deflection may be enough to shear the

If you go to RE's store on their website and go under Revo options, you'll see these parts. It doesn't say anything about it being a Racer's Edge part aside from the fact they're importing them under their name and selling them in their store.
