I was gonna get a 8 turn, cause i heard it will make it go about 35 - 40 mph
how fast will a brushless make it go.
And whats better, brushless, or brushed?
If i am going to in vest with a brushless, i m :) ant it to be worth it
can anyone help me?

I'll answer your last ? first.
It is worth investing in brushless if you will be running the system all the time. As savings will come from time and money not buying brushes and no motor maintenance (comm truers). I have been running my system now for the last 12 months at least 2 a month on competitive club racing which equates to close to $100.00 worth of brushes if I replace them every meet.

How fast it can go?
Sky is the limit. 50 mph - 70 mph is possible with a low turn motor (12 turn) with lipo cell.

I'm pretty sure everybody here will say brushless is better :D . Youre talking about hardly any maintenace if any vs. a lot. A brushless motor will be as fast everytime compared to a reg brushed motor. I'm sure others will chime in and give their opinion as well.

8 cells in a t4 will get you in the neighborhood of what your looking for (35-40)

8 cells on a lehner 5300 will get you higher than 40! I wouldn't be surprised to see 45-50. And still have plenty of torque/power on tap to wheelie whenever you feel (if you have some decent batteries). A simple novak 5800 will probably get you a good 30-35 mph depending on tires, gearing, etc. Like danjoy said, the sky's the limit with these things. I vote for brushless btw....;) Initially expensive, but in the long run, worth it big time.

I have Matt Francis II (similar to T4). For racing, what would you guys run? Lehner 5300 or Novak 5800? Soemthing else maybe?

Electric Thunder- is the 5300 faster than a Fiegao 7s on the same number of cells. I can only go off what I have.

The 5300 is faster than the 7s. But, the 7s should be more powerful than the 5300 (more torque). Also, the 7s is about $50 cheaper.

7s should have higher rpms, but I haven't heard of it having more torque than the lehhners. Im not sure though, somebody here should own both motors.

The 7S (feigao) uses a larger rotor size that will have more torque than the lehners but a longer spool up (I think). Very good for off road trucks but not so good for indoor carpet or on-road racing. Anyways the highest rpm motor is not always the best. They dont do well at higher voltages. If you really want speed go with a 10S or 12S and increase the voltage (like a 3s lipo or 11.1v). Overall power would increase enough for anyone.

I have driven my xxx-t with a feigao 7s and 12 cells, and it wasn't very fun. Just wheelies at any speed and backflip. Either that or the tire ballooning would make the truck almost uncontrollable. The good side is it was doing 50+ easy.

Next week I'm going to order a Warrior 9918 and a Fieago 6s for my T4 to replace my Novak 5800. I'm going to be running 6 cells, so I'll see how fast it goes, should be alot faster than the Novak. I'll be racing with nitro's so I figure I should have enough power to keep up easily. I did pretty good with the Novak last year, but if you dont have good batteries there isnt enough power to clear all the jumps.

I see a lot of recommendations for the Lehners and Fiegos, but I use to see posts about Hacker motors. Are these not as good as Lehner and Fiego motors?

Can anyone give a rundown on the pros and cons of these different brands?

Thanks.

Isn't that Fieago 6s motor supposed to be a little hot for offroading? Hacker motors are great motors no doubt. Most people have success with the c40 series that are more designed towards cars. Fieago is obviously the cheapest, and they aren't half bad, they hold their own. Lehner is pretty sick too, its almost preference, and dependiing on what rpm ratings you are looking for.

Hacker and feigao motors are essentially the same. Hackers are just more efficient and probably a bit more powerful, but cost a whole lot more. For the 70 bucks you pay for a feigao "s" can, they're definitely a bargain. And the Feigaos will have more torque because of their larger rotor, but by that same token, they'll spool up slower. Like someone said, it's preference and what suits your application best. A feigao 8s should do great for offroad both RPM and torque wise, and the peak amps is 81, so that's not TOO rough on the controller. Plus there's plenty of opportunity to run higher cell counts on that motor as opposed to a 7s or 6s.

I wouldn't recommend the 6S for offroad and definitely not the Warrior 9918 fro 6 cell applications. The U-force 75/Pletty Extreme is the best combo ran to date for offroad stadium trucks.

what would be a faster (top end) set up for a on-road stadium truck on 10 cell? a c407t or a shadow. It may be an overkill but I am willing to pay the bucks to ease my curiosity.

Whats the max cell count on the shadow (manufacture's recommendation)

Well, Mike at RC-monster told me that the Warrior would be able to handle the 6s fairly easily. I would rather get the 7s but then I'm going to have to wait for sombody to get it in stock (oh wait just check your site Jamie and I see that you've got em, now you just need to get some speed controls in :p). I'm only going to ever be running 6 cells, and I want huge power. I considered the 8s, but I was told it wont be much better than my Novak SS5800 (6 cells only!). Jamie why wouldnt you recommend the 6s for offroad?

btw- I'd love to get a U-force with a Plettenburg motor but I dont have $500 to spend!

6s+offroad = smoke

I don't like the Warrior software on 6 cells. You may get buy with an rx pack to clear things up some. The 6S has huge current draws at startup and will be pretty hard to hook up.
