i will be getting a losi xxxt mf2 or a losi xxx-4g+
and I am thinking of going brushless. i was looking into the novak super sport setup. I know nothing about brushless. how do I know how fast this setup is? is it as fast as a 12t dble brushed motor? I was going to run an 11t or 12t double brushed but will the novak be the same speed?

any help/info would be great!

you'll probaly max out at about 35-40 with the novak system. I say this because with that set up is that you cant run more than 7 cells. There are many other motors that allow for a higher cell count but with this comes a higher price tag.

As far as comparing novak to a brushed motor, I wouldnt be able to give you a solid answer. I believe Novak claims that its compared to a 12t but other people have said its closer to a 19t. Everybody has an opinion on that subject so I really dont know. So I really dont know for sure.

My Novak was almost exactally the same as my Reedy Kr 13t in all areas of performance. If you want to stick with a established brand name and you will be racing mod then I would probably go with the LRP sphere/Neo one motor ESC combo. It looks to be a nice system for racing. As far as the more powerful sensorless systems go I would check out these sites:
www.rc-monster.com
www.starluckrc.com
The Warrior 9918 is a popular ESC, and the new version of the MGM 8012 should be out in a few weeks, both of these would be excellent choices, or if you want to spend some serious cash on the best ESC you should check out the Schulze U-Force 75. For motors on 6 cells the Lehner basic 4300 or 5300 are popular, or the Plettenburg Shadow or Extreme motors. And the Feigao line of motors, for 6 cells the 540 6s, or 8s would be a good choice.

I'm going to buy a Warrior 9918 ESC with a Feigao 540 6s motor for my T4, I'll let everyone know how it works out.

I would have to agree in saying that it is like a 13 turn motor. A lot of the guys will trash the novak system, since it is not as power as its expensive counterparts. But, it is by no means weak. I would only turn you against it for the fact that the motor is quite heavy, but I ran it with much success in my xxx-t and xxx-4 for almost a year. Its a blast.

I am also looking to put a BL system in a XXX-S MF2. Any of you guys using the Reedy Neo One yet? I would like a little more power than the Novak.

The Reedy Neo isn't out yet. We have all been waiting!
