Newly available from Serpent is this ultra-efficient and performance-enhancing CV (constant velocity) driveshaft set. Designed for use on front and rear of the Serpent 710, the power delivery to the wheels has been improved because the driveshafts are permanently attached to the wheel axles. Apart from the added benefit that you will no longer lose drive shafts in the case of an impact, also the wear on parts has been greatly reduced due to the fact that the shafts no longer move around in their drive slots and due to the ultra high quality steel used on all the parts. Also suitable for use on the front only with Serpent Impulse, Impulse Pro, Impulse Carbon and 705.

#802350 CVD Shafts (2)

Available May 2005

Hmmmm.....

Grey bones..not orange.....I know that Serpent USA and Xray/Hudy had parted ways....but they were still affiliated in other areas of the world....

Is this a sign that the relationship between Serpent and Hudy (where Hudy made a large portion of the Serpent parts) is either over or coming to an end?

Makes me wonder what Serpent's direction will be....and even more...what does Xray have up its sleeves

I forgot to post the part number, so I've edited the original post to include it. There was no price indicated in the initial press release, but it'll be posted as soon as we receive the information.

We don't know that these parts are, or are not, made by Hudy or Serpent themselves. Let's not call into question the stability of an entire company that's been in business for nearly 30 years based on where their optional CV driveshafts are made.

Didn't call into question the stability of the company Steve....just what direction they were going with their components if it turns out not to be Hudy spring steel...

A lot of companies change the direction they go with their product.....you're the one that questioned stability....not me
