Please help, I was ruuning my t4 and hit a good sized jump. When the truck came down it would not move. I loosened the motor mounts and the trucks gear were fine. However the motor is seized up. This sucks because it the most expensive thing in my truck.
Does anyone know if this can be fixed?
If it can't be fixed what motors can I run with a hacker master car sport esc?
Do I have to get another Hacker motor? I really hope this can be repaired or I can use another motor because my cash is very low right now.

its possible that your rotor has shattered or a bearing has seized.
You can screw off the end cap if you take out the grub screw and then i sugest you investigate.
A lehner basic would work ok in a t4 if your in the us and your after a cheap alternative then get a feigo from starluckrc.com there as cheap as chips.

Ok the bearing in end cap is fine. When I take the end cap off and I look straight down I see a cracked piece. it is the round peice that is around the shaft.

how many cells did you run the c40 with?
Does anyone know if hacker sells replacement rotors?
as for replacement motors for use with a hacker sport controller you really only want to use 2 pole motors.
The 540 range of feigo motors might be a bit too much for yout master car sport but i think they should be ok as a T4 is quite light.
The 5408407S is the lowest turn that starluck rc sells.
If you are a bit handy you would be better off getting one of the feigo 400 series motors as these are more comparable to the c40 range and would be easier on your hacker controller. most people day that they are better suited to 1/10th than the 540's
They are also cheaper which from what i understand is a major concern for you.
One thing i will tell you however i canot recomend enough that you get a better controller than the master car sport.
I used to have one of these and in comparison to both the new hackers and the new mtroniks i have its crap with only a fraction of the low end torque.
I have said it before in sensorless brushless systems the controller is extrememly important as it is in control of almost everything that the motor does.

Never ever free spin a brushless motor wide open without a load on it. You will crack the rotor and when you run it with a load it will break.
Alot of newbies to Brushless do not know this and have broken alot of rotors. I did.

I suppose it depends on how close to the rpm limit you are running.
With my c40 8s it shouldnt go over 40k really even without a load when i run it on 6 cells.
I mean you cant always rely on the ground to stop you over reving your motor this is why you should get a motor with the right kv for the amount of cells you want to run.

Also my Hacker has Three wires is this 3pole?
What is the fastest motor that will not blow my esc? The esc is 66amp cont. 90amp max. I will be running ten cells.

Do you know how much it cost?

The wires coming out of the controller represent "phases" there are three phases that deliver current to the windings of the motor. Poles are in the motor itself and are harder for me to explain but let me have a shot at it...........They charge with energy to move the magnet (I think). Four pole motors are harder on controllers because the controller has to switch its current for each pole, but they are smoother.
Heres the contact information for hacker usa, just give em a mail and ask them for repair info........ http://www.hackerbrushless.com/contact.shtml
