I have the old Kyosho "HURRICANE", it is 10 years old. I have just done a lot of upgrading to it, put in 2 Jaguar 17 motors, an Octura X452 3-blade prop, Novak Super Duty XR speed control, and I plan on running with 2 6-cell 3300 NIMH batteries.

I am not sure as to the best way to position the 2 batteries inside the hull. On the original configuration I had the single 6-cell NICAD mounted 3/4 of the way towards the bow in front of the gear box, the boat sat in the water quite fine in this configuration and ran effectively as well. With the 2 NIMH batteries positioned in the same location, the boat has that much more weight forward and the bow is sitting even lower in the water. I was thinking that I could mount the batteries in the side gunnels and place them more towards the mid-section leading aft. This would reduce the weight in the bow, but I think I might need a little extra weight forward to help keep the bow down and more stable at high speeds, I have no idea as to how it is going to perform with these new components.

Any ideas????????
