Hmmm why not post the info on here? That's what these forums are for. Gotta remember... people are lazy. And the info shouldn't be a secret if you want people to show up. Remember, the more info you give.. the more people you'll get interested into your club. This way they'll know if it's worth their time or not. Other~wise people will just blow it off. Just a thought.... :D

JimmyMac,
the location of the meeting hasn't been established yet.
I am sure if someone is interested, they will drop an email to get the time and place.
There is no secrets, just accumulating info, securing a place to race, and finding a meeting place.
But, if no one is interested enough to post or email, I guess the idea will die before it could come to life.

Why not head over to Asheville Hobbies (ashevillehobbies.com) Web Site and post there to start since it's the sorta local Hobby Shop in the area. In the mean time do post info as I'm curious as well, I've got a nice little N. Rustler that just loves pavement.

reginald68,
we have an old scoring system, computerized, but we have to hit a number key each time a car crosses the line. Still effective, especially for club racing.
This is a grassroots club forming, not much as far as money behind it, just a desire for fun racing

Reggie,
We do have a computer counting system, but it does not use transponders. We imput by number keys each time a car crosses the stsrt/finish line.
There will be limited ac power, just for the computer, and to hook up a soldering iron.... you will need to use car battery power to charge.
Bring a work table, and a car to race...

Thanks craig! I just bought a used TC3 online, it won't be here in time for the 4th.... and it wouldn't be a good idea to run my MGT onroad....*lol*
I should be ready by the 18th though
Some of the new guys interested in our local club want to take a road trip to your track, I'm trying to get them down on the 18th as well.

That would be good. We've got some of our TC guys who like to travel around a bit on our offroad weekends so it would be beneficial to get the groups to know each other. Have you settled on class rules yet?
Right now 19T is the most popular as that's one of our classes plus Augusta runs that too as well as a few other NC clubs. We also run SPEC using the trinity Street Spec 6-cell packs and Street Spec 21T motors. No restriction on mfgr. of chassis. Makes for an inexpensive choice for those starting out or on a budget. Just some things to think about.

craig. we are going to try to get our rules to match yours as closely as we can to help keeps folks setups the same and costs down if they travel. i imagine we will try to get everyone into one class till things build up (hopefully). the basic plan is to keep it loose and have fun with this here. like bob said i'll be there the 18th but i have the kids this weekend so i may just come to watch for a bit.
bob, edit that post up a bit to correct the date..
