Kyosho Scorpion/Tomahawk

Anyone collecting the old Kyosho Scorpion or Tomahawk just curious ?

My first car was a cox sidewinder, and since then i have added 2 other scorpions, one stock and the other is a tomahawk. I love them and for me they bring back a lot of memories. The main problems I have with them is that the tires are often dried and cracked, the bushings are steel and wear out to fast , the shock stays are weak and crack, and with forward/reverse slamming, the cups tends to get wrecked. My cars are in varies stages of restoration. One thing i plan on doing is purchasing the parma sidestep bodie for my sidewinder.

I've never even heard of these cars. Can either of you post pics? They sound pretty neat.

my cars are in a state of resolution, mean, they are in the process of finding their glory and shine again.

In their time, these cars where the ones to have. if i remember correctly, they came out after the tamiya sand scortcher and beetle. orginally it was the scorpion and the sidewinder, then came the cox beetle and then the tomahawk. although they are distributed by cox, they where originally made by kyosho.

Oh man, I loved these cars. I always wanted a Sidewinder. Loved those inboard front shocks.

Yes I collect Scorpions, Tomahawks, Beetles, Assault etc but I major in Scorpions and Turbo Scorpions.
