Leisure Hours Practice Saturday, is there a charge? [Archive]

I'm determined to finnaly get out to that track and see what its like, I really just want to practice. I called but all I get is a recorded msg., is there a charge to practice on Saturday's?

Edit: Called the hobby shop, it's $7.00

You'd better get out there. The track is going to close it's doors at the end of may. The folks that run it need to concentrate all of their resources on the new facility. Plus, track attendance is very low since it is the summer-time. I don't know what I'm going to do from the end of May to around July 4th when the new place opens. Maybe off to Trackside or Tinley Park.

Wow, all practice/races in Joliet will stop? The only thing going on in Tinley Park is on Saturday morning and practice is only from 9:30-11:00

If you are just looking to have a good time and run your car. Aj's has a track. Its out in Dekalb. They have a 1/8th scale based off-road course. As well as a asphalt on-road track. Practice is Saturdays 9-7 Then racing on-road at 7.

Of course Crest Hill is going to close when the new Joliet track opens.

Did you think LH was going to keep CH open?

So when is the new track going to open again? I'm in Bolingbrook a few minutes away from CH and was going to go this weekend, but if the track is closed, it looks like I have no where to go. DeKalb is too far with the amoutn of time I have.
