Composite pipes from CEN

I bought a cen aftermarket pipe last summer and why they make this pipe out of plastic or its what it seems like is beyond me .I have melted or cracked two of these so far and they just dont hold up .I ran my boat for FIVE minutes and hosed one .I now have my macs pipe that I shortened and will keep it on .At least it wont melt or crack!!!. :mad:

Anything that is going to deal with that amout of heat, and is of a composite material sounds like bad news to me! I have seen some carbon fiber pipes for larger engines though. Those will be fine to use.

Yeah it was a waste of about 40.00 .Save your money and get a macs .They are metal and hold up much better.

I would send cen a few e-mails telling what happened, and see if you can't get your money back!

The Mac pipes are fine, I've got 3 of them. The CEN pipe is more a muffler than a tuned pipe, look inside. Myself, I'm waiting for Andy Brown to get his .12 pipe out, it was supposed to have been out by now but I'm still waiting for the word on it.
