The new Storm CL-1 buggy is making its first appearances at race tracks around the world and the results so far show the potential of the buggy. In France, GS Factory Team Drivers Philippe Lachat and Sebastien Leonard drove their Medial Pro-equipped CL-1 buggies into 2nd and 5th overall out of 120 drivers after a very wet qualifying. In the Semi’s Philippe finished second in his heat placing him 3rd on the start line for the main event. A mechanical put him out early, but a top 10 finish nonetheless at the first major race for the CL-1. At the Maxx Challenge in sunny Southern California, lone GS Factory Team Driver Marty Korn showed great speed during qualifying but missed his shot at TQ due to backmarkers in his heat. Coming off his A-Main finish with his Storm Pro at the ROAR Nationals, Marty started and placed 8th overall after dealing with 2 flame outs due to the hot weather conditions. This was Marty’s first time out with the CL-1.
