i have been through a number of fuel cap o-rings. i spent the 5 dollars and bought the tank rebuild kit that lasted about 2 weeks. i tried buying o-rings from home depot they last about an hour and then stretch out. traxxas doesn't offer just the o-ring. i've heard rc10gt o-rings work. can you buy a rc10gt oring without getting the whole tank. i can't find just the oring. has anyone had this experience? what did you do? i emailed traxxas hoping they will send me a couple of o-rings free of charge. from what i understand the traxxas o-rings won't last that long either. this is an extremely annoying problem. i hope traxxas does something. any input on this would be great. thank you

Try to not keep fuel in your tank after your running. But I have also had the same problem, I think it might have something to do with the jid being on an angle.Right now im using 2 of the o-rings one where it normally is and one in the very top of the cap.I hope it will last a little longer.

I have been VERY impressed with Traxxas support. Big props there. :)
However, they are going to give you the same ol' o-rings that came with the truck. Apparently high-nitro content can degrade the performance of this rubber over time.
There are special rubbers designed especially to hold up to these chemicals... I'll try to find you a source in the right size tomorrow.

I definitely appreciate that, Ducman. My baby bro has a Revo and he's already replaced the tank o-ring twice too, and he never leaves fuel stored in the tank. Traxxas really needs to get a handle on the problem.
