maybe a 12.5 kg servo? never heard of it. what is a kg doing in an oz world? Anyone reccomend something better?

12.5kg = like 175oz. So yeah a 12.5kg servo should be plenty. Unless you have 9" tires You didnt mention what you have.
XTM175 sold by XTM (HobbyPeople) is 175oz with metal gears costs like $35.
