My TRX 2.5 TMaxx.
Just pulled her out after over a year of closet confinement and reassembled what had been taken apart. Im starting to hate that little 2.5 motor. The truck will probably be a really big paper weight until I get an OS .18 or something...
Mods:
Proline Silverado body and Outback wheels
Robinson Racing Forward Only
Black RPM front and rear bumpers
Blue RPM suspension arms
My truck is probably closer to a S-Maxx now rather than a T-Maxx since its missing the front driveshafts and differential and has no reverse.
I cleaned the body up, used some stuff similar to Armor All (but way better) on the tires, polished up the wheels...

If you look real close you may be able to see my little 'hitch ball' (a ball stud I had in my extra screw box) on the rear bumper :D
Mods planned? Jeez, my wallet cries at the thought of mods

I like those wheels on the wing for a wheelie bar. Good idea.
And that ball stud is quite funny. Nice and clean looking Maxx.

Peterbilt nice truck I like the black it looks good with those blue a arms.
Hers a little info on the O.S. .18 when you get it be shure to run cvd's (front, rear,& center ) steal spur gear heavy flywheel & mip clutch. trust me these .18's are powerfull the one I have runs better ( way better) then my big block dose it's got just as much power and spools up ten times quicker. I burnt up my stock clutch the frist run after break in the spur gear the next run then the out drives I didn't give the centers a chance to break.

I am new to this site. I am not hard-core with the trucks, I kinda am but over here in New Zealand they don't have the parts and stuff so I can't do the races or hard-core stuff that you guys can. But I plan to get lots of mkoney and import parts to make my baby(crap compared to yours) strong and reliable. I don't get how to insert pics on this site, but please check out the link and tell me what y think for a stock, model from New Zealand. http://www.geocities.com/dark_racer_14/me.html
 Wow you guys have really cool trucks and you have heaps of them, I wish I could afford to bring in parts and stuff. Oh well, the time will come.

The only problem with this E-maxx is that I won't drive it now that it is all hopped up. That was the plan from the beginning though. I do have another one for bashing though. The only things left on this one to upgrade would be some nicer looking battery packs and more aluminum in the drivetrain. I do have a custom painted body and a bunch of neon lighting from Varad too(very cool for show, not too practical for a truck you actual use though!).

I'm in the NW suburbs. I used to run the race track at Harper College (several years ago) and up until recently I ran the Chicago R/C Club. I used to put on the Monster Jam's a few times a year which is when I really got into trucks.
Anyone out there have a good way to spike your tires for running on the ice? It seems easy enough to put small screws through from the inside but which ones work well and also how many do you use? Or is there a whole better way? I hate to re-invent the wheel if some of you have some tips.

Nice, have you heard of a town called Bartlett? have you heard when leisure is going to finally open there new track?
chicago rc
11-28-2005, 08:33 AM
Sure, Bartlett is south of where I live. Leisure was supposed to have their big grand opening this past summer (05') but they were a little too optimistic with the construction schedule. I would hope it will be this summer will be the date, I can't see the delays taking them past another whole summer racing season!

What is a Tazer??? Do you mean Blazer?
socalBash
12-01-2005, 01:40 PM
A Tazer is what you see in the pictures.
How many Blazer's have u seen with a wing?
How many with an extended titanium chassis?
How many with a 6061 alum un-anodized extended chassis?
How many with HUGE CVA's wider arms and PBS suspension?
No dude - I mean T - A - Z - E - R

Perhaps its his screen name? Perhaps i took it the wrong way - but it sure seemed condescending to me. Anybody with enough knowledge to know what a blazer is knows theres huge differences there. This truck is one I and an assoc. designed / redesigned. Used OFNA 9.5 buggy, Ho Bao Buggy, Mugen, Blazer and titan components, re designed their layout on an extended chassis. Its an extremely durable, and agile race truggy. Depending on its configuration it can be +/- 1 oz lighter than a crt.
Its on power steering is superior to my Jammin CRT too. :-)

Oh yeah, I love the Blazer, I'll never get rid of it, it's so versatile. It acutaly appears in a few of those vids but thats the only vid of it with the wing. Yeah they really found a good balance in the gearing of the Blazer, it's so much fun to drive. Are the Tazer's available on the market or do we need to speacial order one?

Woah nice dude. That thing looks like a winner. Is there a way to convert the Blazer to piviot ball suspension?
Yes .. and no. Not cheaply, and not "drop in". Youl have to do some shopping and some customizing. We are working on packaging a kit - but there a bunch of customizing that needsto be done - so we'd rather do it in house than have to do a lot of refunds for folks who think they are master DIY'ers, but really arent and wouldnt get it right.
We make two versions of this truggy. Its 9.5/ Blazer based - so you have all the beginnings of a great truck. Our ST Stunt Truck version is shorter chassis than the PRT our race truggy - and longer than the stock 9.5 buggy / Blazer chassis.
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c151/socalrc/ST/STChassis7.jpg
If you go with a PBS - u need to do twin titan PBS - but if you go that wide - you wider than you are long and the truck drives like poooh. Add to that ... the stock Blazer shocks and towers dont give you enough up/downtravel [i didnt think they did even on the blazer sst / violator arms.]
We have Titanium and Carbon Fiber shock towers in the works but for now - the buggy towers - with the right big bore shocks and longer bodies/shafts will give you the correct geometry for the wider arms.
Towers - CNC - $50
Shocks - $80
Arms & CVA's - $75-100
Center CVA's - $40
Chassis - $75-125 [7075 St or Titanium PRT]

Pretty nice truck...
I like mine...hehehe
The performance, and reliability is what makes our truggy (In our opinions) superior to what is available now...It has more steering (both on and off power) than anything I have driven, tons of (usable) suspension, and stable as all can be...Besides all the performance benefits, its strong as a tank...
My opinions (RobB) are just that, "my" opinions, not "Nitrohouses" I post as Nitrohouse, but this is a personal post...I tried to get a second screen name so I can separate the 2 but its not allowed. So please understand that this is not a Nitrohouse product, and can't be purchased through Nitrohouse, nor do they (co-workers(besides myself)) know much about it...

my screen name? whats wrong with my screen name? anyway chill bro. I didnt think you were stupid enough to call it a tazer so many times to begin with.... but as you can clearly see I wasn't the only one in the dark. And I'm not sure about how i think it was 4d that said he had a nice blazer with a wing.... but the guy at my local track had a blazer that sucked, didnt handle well, and wasn't competitive at all..... All I knew by your post was that so called Tazer looked sweet, and i was going to post another post asking you more about it after you informed if you misnamed it. It looks like a nice azz truck. kool? ;)

@4DMNYC and mdewitt71: I got the idea for the rollbars from http://www.monstertruckfever.com/ (in english!) .. he's a guy doing a good job for the MT community!
the rollbars are very easy to build and protects the engine from hard landings! because we're maniacs, we need them :D (http://www.rcmaniacs.ch)
@Bunsincunsin: I'm very happy with the tires (HPI Dirt Claws)! Especially for track races, they are, in dimensions, like the dirt bonz, but have better grip on loose and hard ground. I use them as allround-tires, even for hard bashing :)

That seems like a good idea but the only time I have to skate now a days is during lunch or after school , but I have gone thru like 5 name brand boards lest see a Zero , an Element , my favorite so far World Industries , Blind and a Cbs , but I stuck with my Independent trucks and Spitfire wheels I was going to ask my cousin for his Girl co. board , since he never uses it any more .

Well I was thinking of getting a pair of Adios soon , but right now I use converse but they are not the best but they have good grip on the tape , I actualy like Blind boards , but I think the World Industries have the best graffic the one I had , had Flame Boy heating or somthing Wet Willy in a lab .

Thanks for the kind words.. Its true that I have sold way more than I ever thought I would, and still out of all 500 sets of TVPs, I have never had to replace one.. and i would even if they didnt like it for any reason.. 100% lifetime warenty.
I am in the middle of stocking up on a lot of stuff.. My weeks vacation really put a hurting on my buisness and then I got a nasty flu from the trip too.. I now have quit my job to do my buisness full time.. I have a lot of orders and couldnt catch up unless I had everyday to work on it.. If you need something I may have it here. If you want something I dont have I can make it.. If you want to see my site, its still saying what it was before Xmas.. but by next week it will have all the parts stocked and even more custom stuff coming...
More to come and I am working on parts not the site.. Twisted-Toys.net

what truck is that dad?
It's a Terra Crusher. I have torn it done more then 10 times in the last month or so only because I wanted to understand how it worked :D
The only mod I have made to it was to add two 2x5x10mm (one on each side) pieces of aluminum behind the forward clutch shoes. This has eliminated any and all slip from the forward clutch and, as you can see, she now "flys". I also put 300k oil in the center diff which makes it act more like an LSD. This helps to equalize the power to both the front and rear diffs.
In the picture she is about 4' off the ground after launching off a snow bank.

I belive this is the baddest engine on the planet. I belive its worth every penny I have into it. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one, if I was looking for this kinda quality. However I think that if your just a basher and have some sort of buget, there is better ways to spend $350..

How many have a picture of their truck upside down
I had hit the snow bank at nearly full speed and back flipped it three time. In this pic it's about 3 feet off the ground. When landed it hit on all 4s. I will never be able to duplicate that stunt again (truthly I am affraid to try ;) )
