I was woundering if the forward only gear makes a big differince for a get up and go from a dead stop. just wounder because i have the trany out because i broke the primary gear drive set screw twice so im this far would it help. :D

I moved this to the monster truck section. If you have a question about a monster truck, it's usually best to ask in the section called "Monster Trucks."
It will certainly help to get rid of all that hardware in the tranny. I installed the Robinson Racing forward-only conversion and the truck will flip over backwards if I get on it too hard.

i added the forward gear and it had much better accelartion... for the wieght u drop its worth it.....

Not only do you shed the unneeded stuff in the tranny, but you can remove the reverse servo, and linkage further trimming weight. The FOC doesn't cost much, but sure makes a worthwhile diff.

when i did my FOC i also added a p/s and got rid of the ez start... u loose like 1/3 of a pound... REALLY helps!

If your planning on running a BB I would highly recommend the Unlimetedengineering Super6 FOC. This is better because it uses eliminates the hole in the output shaft. This hole is a common weak spot for the tranny. But if your running small block 18 or less then you should be fine.
