hey, guys, im about to get a fac. team gt too and i was wondering....why do you need the battery pack and charger? i mean ive seen them in gas cars like sitting in the back bumper, but i never really knew why you had to have batteries

I would reccomend the Hitec Lynx FM good FM radio for cheaper than some am radios. Although i think you will need to pick up another servo since it only comes with one, but it is a bb servo so. I use the Lynx FM in my HpiRS4MT.

GT boy, the batteries run the on-board radio system. Without the little 5cell pack in the truck, you'd have nothing to power the steering & throttle servos.

I'd recommend buying the nicest radio system you can afford; why have such a nice Factory Team truck and control it with a cheap radio? Look at it as an investment. But if you're going to go cheap on the radio, you might as well buy the GT RTR. Otherwise get a quality system that you can use in the future.
