Ran my ebay 1/12 bud(stock boat,unmodified) for the first time since it was purchased 4 months ago. Let me start by saying I have never ran a hydroplane or a nitro boat before. I performed some test starts at home to get the hang of it , grabbed my tools, a quart of fuel, and headed for the lake. At the lake it started on the first pull, brought it to wot, pitched it in the water and it took off screamin. Ran the boat util it hit something out in the water and i lost the prop and rudder. Made repairs (15 miuntes) and back in the water it went. Ran it until I was out of fuel and had a blast with it. I did expirence some of the common problems with the boat, but i was prepared (thanks to this web site) which made them no big deal. All in all it was a great outing and I cant wait to do it again.
