Well, I don't have any specific experience with this boat, but if it's from AM, it should be good. A G26 should move it along nicely in the 40's.

HI and welcome.

I too have had no experience with that boat but I have never seen a bad aeromarine boat. (I have an aeromarine boat and I like it)
g260 will be great.

If I were going for an Aeromarine Cat, I'd go with the Avenger or Cyclone. They're shorter but I like the looks of them better and 44" is a lot easier to haul around than 50". I have a hard enough time getting a 40" hull up and down my basement stairs but my stairway is "L" shaped.

thanks for the info, i was thinking of the avenger, but i still think im going for the pro cat so far, as long as i dont hear anything bad about it. as for lugging it around thats not a problem. ( my wife is pretty strong). thanks again.

Hey Mike. I went to Aeromarine met with Troy and Remy jr. I had custom built (they did a couple of extra mods for me on the hull.)
Avenger Pro Cat 44" (removed 1/2" of the running boards, Carbon Fiber Sponsons)
Zenoah G260PUM - Modified - Ported Polished blueprinted - Butch The Boat Man
6717/3 prop - Pre balanced sharpened - The prop Works

This was a one stop shop for me. Troy and Remy took care of everything. I left 6 wks later with a RTR CAt.
I say 6 wks, I went up to DE, ordered the boat, waited 3 wks for them to even start working on it, then 3 wks later, took another trip up to get it. :D
