Yeah, its out of the MM and if I like it maybe sometime I will just have to buy a .21 for this boat:D

All I need to to is add wings and I'll have a glider:D It went in very easy also. All I had to do was build new mounts 1/8" skinier on both sides and cut the flexshaft tube back:D

Let me start by saying....I love this hobby. :D I ran the it last night and it was awsome. I ran with the x437/3 on and I think it was a little small.(couldn't get it off the drive dog so had to just deal with it) It would rev the same no matter what I did, Just rev good and high:D The hull handles the engine way better then I thought it would  I had the trim tabs all the way out of the water. The only poblem was that it seems like it doesn't want to turn very sharp. :( I have a turn fin on the right side looking from the back. What would help it turn sharper??

Less speed? Nice boat, and as you said, the 437 would probably be too small. Another thing that could improve turning is more rudder travel - do you already have it set for maximum travel (outer hole on servo arm, inner hole on rudder). How fast does it seem compared to before? Also, I would try the engine in your mini-manta if you still can't get it to really scream. That could really wake it up.

Glider? With that engine, you'll achieve POWERED FLIGHT!

Thought the same thing. I will prolly just save up my money and buy one for it:D It seems way faster then before. I really need to get a gps but just can't seem to get the money saved long enough. I think I am going to sell my MM hull so if anyone wants to make an offer pm me.:D I am going to put my airtronics radio in it so that should make it turn sharper because of all the fansey things on it:D

With a hull that light and all of the power that you have now, I'd try an X-440/3 or Prather 215.

X442 or X642. It won't stay on the water much longer.

I have a x640 carbon that I might try. I also have a x442 carbon so those will help me figure out a good prop. i want some good speed. Will the x6-- give more speed because of the pitch??

O.S. Has been busy.

Here is the engine that is going to go in my Mini Manta ray. 1.35 hp from a .18:D The other OS puts out .6

do you think this engine would be faster then a .21 in a 24 inch boat???

I would guess the 640 would have more top end, but the 442 would be better off the line

Going to order the .18 for the manta ray. Anyone have any objections before I do??? :D

No, I think that'll be a great motor for it - plenty of power. 1.35hp in a 25" boat. I can't wait to see some running pics. Hopefully, it'll look just like mine while it's running.

Sorry only ran the manta for about 2 min. It needs trim tabs BAD!!!!!!!!

Ok. Only one bad thing happened while running:( I was going along FAST and I caught some waves weird. The boat went into a tumble end over end:o I thought everthing was ok until I got home. Where the front bulkhead is it cracked the hull:( I'll post a pic later but I need ideas. I also lost a ride pad:o Other then that, I love the NH and the Mini Manta

Is that the Manta that cracked? That sounds like exactly what happened to mine (but mine didn't break). I was hitting some waves, and I caught an edge, and it did some nice cartwheels through the water.

no, the nitro hammer:D

Oh. I would be surprised if the WH fiberglass cracked on just flipping. That thing is built so strong it could probably hit a brick wall and keep running. Is it fixable?

ejp
06-26-2005, 01:24 PM
Yeah, I just squeezed a little epoxy into the hole. the WH boat is really strong and has little flex at all. I just got my wisdom teeth taken out so it will prolly be friday before I run again but I will get some pix of the Wh in action with the trim tabs on. It just bounced up and down and when it started to getting up to speed it tried to barrel roll:D
