Grassy Creek Raceway Grand opening! (Grassy Creek, NC)
New ROAR sanctioned track in Grassy Creek, NC (outside of Jefferson, NC)
Track Features: covered carpet roadcourse style track w/ removable jumps for trucks, AMBrc lap counter, covered pits and power, handicap accessible 20ft drivers stand, handicap accessible restrooms, grand stands, parts store open on race days, restrooms, concessions, winners circle, pa system, free parking, picnic tables, smoking areas, no alcohol, just good clean family fun, (and a little racing, too).
Grand opening information:
Saturday June 25th, 9am-12 noon, open practice/registration
12noon-12:30pm, drivers meeting
1:00pm, races start ** one qualifier, triple A-mains (awards/prizes immediatly following mains)
Classes:
2wd trucks (stock & mod)
4wd trucks (stock & mod)
Touring Sedan (stock & mod)
BRP Bud Cars (Stock only)
Rules:
Truck Stock: Stock motors, 1100 6 cell non-matched packs. foam/rubber tires
Sedan Stock: Stock (180) motors, 1100 5 cell non-matched packs. foam/rubber tires
Mod Rules: mod motors, 6 cell 1100's, foam or rubber tires.
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in A mains for all classes.
Entry fee for grand opening:
12.00 per racer, includes races, one boxed meal per driver, and three chances to win door prizes, additional boxed meals are 5.00.
there will be a raffle of a Mini-T (150.00 value, 10.00 entry)
and a Factory RC-18T RTR (250.00 value, 20.00 entry)

From Boone:
* 421 East from boone
* turn left at light onto 221 towards Jefferson.
* Pass Walmart on right
* From Jefferson, turn left on Hwy 16 north towards 'mouth of wilson'
* go 8.7 miles to new river bridge (under construction)
* continue 3.3 more miles from bridge and turn right on 'John Halsey Rd. (just past sussex Rd.)
* Go 1.3 Miles to Old Hwy 16.
* Turn Right and go .5 miles to weavers Ford Rd.
* Turn left and go 1.8 miles, track is on right.
From Wilkesboro area (or further east):
* on 421 turn right on Hwy 16 north towards Jefferson.
* At junction 16/88 turn left.
* Cross Walt Sheets bridge. Just before town turn back right onto Hwy16 north towards mouth of wilson.
* go 8.7 miles to new river bridge (under construction)
* continue 3.3 more miles from bridge and turn right on 'John Halsey Rd. (just past sussex Rd.)
