Just wanted to share my first painted body, well at least using more than one color. it's the standard interceptor for RC10 T4. I used rattlecans, a mix of tamiya and pactra paints, everything was handmasked using painters low tack masking tape. I tried using the hobbico liquid mask, but it stank so bad, i decided it wasn't worth it. Also the body is not fully cut, I decided to leave the skirts and front end for that mean look, will prolly have to cut for any serious driving tho

Thanks, I worked my butt of on this one, further convinced me to get into airbrushing. As soon as the $ is there.

I'm looking at buying a new body for my pede. I already have an airbrush from applying stain inside of some really fine shapes on the woodworking. Is it better to paint the body on the inside or outside? I've heard people use both methods. Which would you prefer?
The body you did looks really nice

Always paint the body on the inside: The paints we use dry 'flat', and putting them on the inside also protects them. Besides a mistake, painting a Lexan body on the outside would only be done for a special effect like primer.

Abra-
Might want to trim the bottom edge of the body, so it doesn't hang below the chassis and catch on the ground. That can be a problem in a number of ways: It can damage the lower edge of the body, crack the mounting holes, or even damage the racing surface with track owners do NOT like.

@ Steve K- Yeah, that was just for a few pics and for when i run the car on the street, I'm going to cut the sides and front soon. Wish you could do bolt on skirts and frontends just for looks though, trick it out "ricer" style if u into that sort of thing

@woodworker, thanks, and you definetely don't want to put paint on the outside of the shell, will lose most of it on the first tumble
