I picked up a GWS E-starter a few days ago.
I am planning to fly it with the 400 motor and only rudder and elevator.
does anyone have one? How will it fly?

The E-starter is a great "first aileron" plane. I would connect the ailerons. I used that plane to go from a beginner to an intermediate pilot. I still use it to practice precise figure 8 and to practice landings. But, I put an AXI 2208-34 brushless motor in it because without the brushless motor, windy days are a problem. With the AXI motor I can fly any day regardless of the wind. Good Luck
