Ok, since most nitro cars do not have reverse why not use an electric motor to reverse the car. If you attach a cheap and small ESC (DTX spike is ideal) to a 3rd channel in your reciever and wire a high turn motor in reverse and use a 32p pinion and make a custom mount so it always is engaged. Since the motor is a higher turn it free spins easier so the engine isnt strained as much. Also use a 6 cell AA pack and use that as a ESC battery since you will have the BEC. So when you flip on your 3rd channel you get reverse, and also to make usre the ESC doesnt get fried when the motor spins by the engine attach a Ziener Diode in b/w the motor wire. This way you can make a better basher nitro and the weight is not that much more. I plan on doing this if I get a nitro TC besaue I will make it a prerunner and dont wanna get stuck. Does anyone know if this works? also could I use a motor from an EZ start instead of a 540 to decrease wieght?
