contact paper/shelf paper 4 masking

hey i was wondering do u thing contact paper/shelf paper,do u think u could use it to make paint masks for lexan bodys???i just got some for free n i was wondering do u think it would work????i mean it feels just like some of the window masks u get with the bodies when u but them new????

Fes, it would probably work, but, I'm not sure if any of the glue would come off onto the lexan when you peal it off. Secondly, it might bleed a bit. If it didn't leave glue behind AND you misted your colors on, it would work. It'd take a bit longer than normal when painting because of misting and allowing that coat to dry thoroughly.

When in doubt, pull out some scrap lexan or even a transparency sheet and try it. If it works, let us know.
