Well, after some thought....I finally decided what I wanted to do with my TC3. I decided to make a scale version....of my real car. (which is named Gladys...hence the name of the project) I have a 98 Trans Am, and since HPI makes a T/A body, I figured it would be perfect.

Here's a pic of my car...for reference...

First order of business....was wheels (and tires). I needed to find a set of wheels, that closely resembled mine, since I knew it would be impossible to find an exact match. I found that the IMEX Twin Star's were the closest match I could find. Except for a couple things...they look pretty darn close. I went for HPI X-Pattern Radial's for the tires.

The wheels/tires...

Got the body finished today. But I've still got a few things to do until it's complete. Including the Factory Team 200mm widing kit. (To get the stance a bit wider, to fit the body.) New rear body mounts.

And....I'm also getting a scale version of the vinyl graphics on the side of my car. Those will be getting here sometime next week.

So here's the new pics, of the body...

you know you can go to any decal shop and they'd make those green/flag graphics for the R/C car too....

Not like this. (Unless I paid them a quite a bit...to recreate them) The ones on my car are custom made. I used to work for an auto graphics company; I designed them. The even have my company name in them "Minty Fresh Productions". So the place I used to work for, still has it on file, they're gonna make scale versions of it, and send them to me.

That looks awsome. I can't wait to see the graphix on it. Nice find on those wheels too, almost a perfect match I think. I wish I still had my T/A body, it was black too and it had working head and tail lights along with working orange neon lights under it. My body got totaled in a crash. The body got ripped in three places and the car lost the front end and two wheels after hitting a telephone pole(skided off the road cause of little rocks at 40+mph) and cartwheeling down a huge hill :(.

Very nice...although I've gotta say, the 1:1 looks better, mainly due to the hottie resting on the hood. Is that your gf/wife?

Anyways, nice job. I really really like the rims.
