Just stick a small screwdriver in the opening of the C-Clip and twist so the clip comes off the shaft smoothly. To replace it just use a pair of pliers to slide it back into it's groove.

Be warned, these clips have a well deserved reputation for flying off and disappearing! Keep a finger on it while you pop it off and put it back on or get some spares in case. I've had them go all the way across a room before (stupid clip, took nearly an hour to find it - before I bought spares!).

They mostly fly off when you're trying to get them back on. I use needle nose pliers to get them put back on.

Yeah, thats a pretty big one. The smaller e clips that go on hinge pins are usually the fun ones!

Is that a 2.5?
