I placed an order at Tower today, mainly to get my 4-tec up and running again. I also combined the order with my friend in order to save money on shipping. Our total ended up being $287.93 :D. Keep in mind, this is all accesories and replacements, no new rc's or anything. We had 35 things on the list and the order took me about 25 minutes over the phone...Also keep in mind that I have to pay for this with my low low LOW income

Share your biggest orders that you've made on Tower, or other hobby places :)

A few grand at Stormer Hobbies on just parts/bodies/batteries about 3-4 years ago. It was an accident, as I placed a huge order and for some reason they called me up about it (I can't remember why now - maybe some stuff was out of stock or something), and I managed to confuse the guy on the phone - I didn't realize it until two MASSIVE boxes showed up at customs, but he thought I wanted to place two orders (the original and the modified one). I actually had to go through the process of hiring someone to fill out the legal documents to bring them into the country as it was such a large order. But I had a ton of parts! ;)

Then there's an order I placed with Ace Hardware Hobbies a few months ago, somewhere around $850-900 I think.

smallest on-line order-24.00 @ tower.....largest on-line order-1,050 @tower. I don't buy online anymore though. I only shop at my lhs, unless I need something that can only be bought on line, but thats an extremely rare.

I've spent around $1500 a couple of times for 1/5th scale stuff. My largest single order for something other than a house or car was for my new digital camera (my other hobby) at $5400.

For only parts $260.83, and with an rc (TNX) $395.96 at Tower. I have had nothing but good experiences with Tower. I look there 1st for anything I need. My nearest LHS is a 70mile round trip, so about the only thing that takes me there is fuel.

Big purchases - last year I paid off the mortgage on my house 16 years early (30yr mortgage) and it was a cashier's check for a lot of money. My last three new cars (actually trucks) were cash sales too.
