i just won off ebay a few days a go a tamiya blackfoot (complete) for 50 bucks n i won a rtr radio shack golden arrow for 46 bucks! super sweet,cant wait to get them!will post pics a soona s i get them!

Cool man. My cousin had a Golden Arrow and it was pretty fast. Prob at least 15-18 mph which is not too bad for a toy RC.

about 16 years ago i found a brand new golden arrow buggy for 8 bucks!the kid spray painted it purple n he used it once n didnt know why it stopped workn',long story short....after my neighbor soldered 1 wire,i drove that thing till the tires fell the rims......oh it was mint....i am so gald i got another 1! yeah ia m gonna try to collect vintage tamiyas maybe

about 5 yrs ago i bought my brother in law a king blackfoot kit.(bought the whole combo for his b day) he still has in new ,sealed in the box n i keep bustn his chops to put together...i thought abought buying it back from him but he always wanted to put a rc kit togethr so i will ahve to kepp breakn his chops,he palys with my rc cars n i hope that will aspire him to go do his, he wants a boat for his b day but i was gonna get hima traxxas rtr stampede.

MMMMMMMMMMMM Golden Arrow, brings back my first almost real RC. I have to admit, Radio Shack made a good moove with that Buggy. I loved that thing, plus it kept up with my friends RC10B2. :)

People dog it for being a "toy" and a radio shack POS. Knock it as much as you want, but fact is, when it came out there were a number of them on the track racing right next to my RC10....and they were competitive. Still a good score and brings back fond memories. Congrats on the find, Fes.

here is the black foot i won from ebay,not bad for $50! it needs a good cleaning n the tailgate is missing but no bigger.dont know if it runs but regardless the price was worth it if it runs or not!

The chassis definitly looks almost identical to the spirit eccept for the front shock tower.I'd like to see a body off shot as well please. I bet with a little finess I can turn my old dusty, beat up Spirit into a Golden Arrow :D

My suggestion is getting very small fans for the board, plus hook up with a 9 volt. I just picked some up from ebay for 9 bux shipped for two very small computer type fans, brand new, with a 9 volt connector.

Yeah, thats the same basic frame as the Traxxas cat. I think they (and some Nikkos) were all made by the same OEM.

My traxxas Cat has an usused 4AA battery compartment built into the chassis. There are no battery terminals in it because the Cat came with normal radio gear with BEC, but I'll guess that your golden arrow uses those AA's, right? This AA comparment is absent from my Traxxas Spirit which also shares the same basic design.

It looks like your Golden Arrow has rear suspension which goes up and down uniformly. That is, if the right rear tire hits a rock, both the entire rear axle goes up. The Cat has a ball joint to attach the rear suspension to the chassis which allows it to pivot, like a solid axle car.

i have a traxxas spirit too!i agve it to my sister!

yeah i have to put the 4 aa batteries in the car as well.i am actaullay go go play with it now!letcha know how i make out!

of if the board does fry, i will retro fit it fit a esc n i will figure out the set up on the steering,i am sure it could be done!

ok gang,played with the golden arrow before n she runs fine except the distance is short cuz of the antenna is short. can i add wire to this to fix the antenna?

any special wire i need to use?will it work.i have to see what wire i have lying around the old toolbox!
